This Board is for use when the need to rescue is considered to be urgent and requires no instructions for the BA wearer other than the need to insert his BA tally in the slot provided. At a later time of entry the designated Entry Control Officer will use the information on the Rapid Deployment Board to transfer accountability of the BA wearers to the Standard 12 Slotted BA Board as follows:- Remove tallies from RDB the lapsed time will stop counting and remain visible. By subtracting the lapsed time reading from the present time shown on the 12 slotted Entry Control board, he then writes real entry time on tally and inserts it in the Entry Control Board. At this point he is able to enter Whistle time in the usual way with the use of the Calculator. LED Indicator Lights Green : Start-up, Push Buttons. Left Button : Off Switch only (5 Sec delay to avoid accidental), Other Button : Illumination The sounder is not an alarm and should only be considered as a tap on the shoulder to ECO. It sounds 5 bleeps every 5 minutes.
Various Slot Rapid Deployment BA Board.
The rapid deployment Entry control board comprises of a timing device and positions for the insertion of four BA tallies. When the switch is depressed by the insertion of the first tally, this automatically operates the timing device and the lapsed time is indicated on the Board. When both tallies are removed the lapsed time will stop and remain visible until the power button is pressed.
Procedure.
Upon arrival at the incident the BA Wearer removes the key and tally from DSX MKI or MKII Distress signal and places it in the slot provided in the BA Board. No further action is required by the BA Wearer, who is then able to enter the incident. The BA Board will then automatically monitor elapsed time. As more personnel become available and a full Entry Control is initiated, the BA Entry Control Officer transfers the information from the Rapid Deployment Board to the standard BA Board in the normal manner, hence maintaining Accountability.
B.A boards are not supplied with Identification tally.
